Situated in a secure landscaped section adjacent to the Utuhina Stream (one of Lake Rotorua’s major tributaries and spawning ground for Rainbow Trout) Kuirau Lodge provides peace and tranquillity and a relaxed atmosphere for its guests. Walk in the garden or soak in the heated pool or thermal spa. Play tennis or enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine on the terrace or relax in the lounge with a book and a cup of tea or coffee.

The lodge is only ten minutes walk through Kuirau Thermal Park (From which the Lodge takes its name) to the central business and shopping facilities of Rotorua.

Built in 1984 the lodge was designed and built by Lockwood Homes (A major home construction company based in Rotorua).An all wood home, it incorporates interior walls made from native Matai timbers which exude ambience and warmth. This combined with the thermal central heating and double glazed windows, maintains a pleasant internal environment all year round.

The chalets are a 1950’s cottage and a 1960’s Lockwood home. Both have three bedrooms and full kitchen and Laundry facilities. They are refurbished with all the modern appliances and entertainment systems. Heat pumps provide all year round temperature control.
